Candidate Attraction

A good supply of candidates is essential if we are to deliver an efficient service to you.  In order to guarantee availability of suitable candidates we must first encourage regular registration of new candidates.

At S4 we are confident we can offer the best quality candidates thanks to our comprehensive selections process.

S4 Personnel has made a considerable investment in order to attract the right candidates. This is not only targeted in terms of volume of applicants, but also in terms of attracting those people with the skills and attributes necessary to succeed in the role in question.

We have introduced advanced methods of registering and training individuals to ensure the most appropriate match of candidate to job. Our experience has shown that the majority of candidates register with us because of reasons unique to S4 Personnel, these include recommendations built upon our reputation.

Candidate Database

S4 maintains an extensive database of high quality candidates, allowing for immediate supply of temporary staff, as well as a time-effective response to any permanent vacancy.

Recommendation

We find many of our candidates via word of mouth, which is one of the most effective recruitment methods.  We believe this is a testimony to the quality service that we offer our candidates.

Referral Scheme

A programme is in place to reward existing candidates for introducing other temporary or permanent candidates.

Strategic Advertising and Response Handling

S4 Personnel Ltd works with various sites and forums, running campaigns and one-off advertisements.

Eligibility Checking

All candidates are required to present an original copy of identity and eligibility documents during the registration process, in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. A copy is taken and kept on our records. This documentation will usually be a passport or a full birth certificate coupled with a National Insurance card. Members of the EEA/EU can also supply a National Identity card.

Visas for non EEA/EU citizens are checked with regard to the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996 and subsequent updates and a photocopy are retained for our records.

S4 Personnel will not allow any temporary candidate to work or introduce a permanent candidate before their identity and eligibility documents have been viewed and we will confirm this to the client.

Professional Qualification Checks

If requested S4 Personnel will verify the professional qualifications that a candidate holds should these qualifications be relevant to the role they are being put forward for. S4 Personnel will confirm to the client that these checks have been made.

Registration of Candidates

All candidates are initially telephone screened before being invited to attend a face to face interview with a fully trained consultant, this may be in the office though more usually by video-link.

S4 evaluates computer literacy, software skills and typing/data entry speeds. Our assessments can be dedicated to your specific requirements, or more generally we have IT based assessments. It is important to us that our candidates are happy with our service and we always follow up our initial registration with a “Feedback Questionnaire”, this enables us to match our service to their requirements.

All temporary candidates are referenced and we are happy to extend this, on request, to permanent candidates too.

Quality not quantity is our aim and clients are introduced to just a select few of the high-calibre candidates ensuring personalities and experience to achieve a perfect match.

ISO 9001 Accredited

Our commitment to offering you a quality service is underlined by our ISO accreditation. We are regularly audited, both internally and externally, so you can be confident of our service.
