Our client is a prestigious company based in Slough, are looking for a Risk Manager to assist with implementing and maintaining a risk management framework.  You will ensure compliance, regulations and internal policies and procedures are adhered to.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining risk management strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and reporting any deviations from established risk thresholds
  • Maintain the Company risk register
  • Carry out risk assessments, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, financial risk, and compliance risk
  • Completion of quarterly risk controls
  • Follow up of action plans with various departments for any deficiencies identified during the controls testing process
  • Test the adequacy and effectiveness of first level controls performed by the business, identify areas of improvements and propose corrective actions, where necessary
  • Maintain an up-to-date business continuity plan (BCP) and co-ordinate BCP testing activity
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with fraud investigations where required


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field
  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or other relevant professional certifications is desirable
  • Prior experience in risk management or in a control function within a related financial services sector
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the regulatory regime and the requirements and guidance issued by the regulatory bodies is desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving change and influencing
